desuperheater    An energy-saving device in a heat pump that uses some of the excess or waste heat to heat or preheat domestic water.

   The earth or water medium to which heat is deposited or from which it is extracted 
  
hydronic radiant floors    A popular system for heating-dominated climates like ours in which heated water is pumped through tubing laid in a pattern underneath the floor.
